night before fishing and I’m searching for gear
In the hopes that a Sunrise soon will be here
As I dream of big fish that come to my net
I wake up and run all dripping with sweat
I race to the launch in speed record time but find six boats all waiting in line
every one’s ready to get out and fish
All with a dream of a big Derby wish
The kind that comes from the twitch of a line
I can only hope that it will be mine
to bring in a monster at the DYP
Will put my name on the trophy you see!
