Looks like a go Randy! Thanks for doing the home work yesterday. Will Nolan is fishing today as well. 12 days since my last float seems like eternity!
Re: Converse float for Feb 8
I met Ron at 10AM and Al "The Master" just behind us.
We all chatted and set to launch.
The day greeted us with calm seas, cloudy with clearing skies.
We set up 2 riggers 25 & 30 down, a slide diver, mini disc and hoped for the best with a blank screen so far......
As noon rolled around we had a F35 flyover and a quick succession of lake trout on the rigger and mini disc.
Lunch today was leftover Roast beef sandwiches and Celery soup followed by Honeybell oranges sent from Florida by Carl.
After lunch we did a gear changeout with 2 side planers and 2 longlines on beadchains running Challenger plugs for the close in shoreline return run.
Close run by of SeaGull Rock by the Inline planer
As We Buzzed back a nice view of Camels Hump.
Thanks for sharing the day Ron.

Re: Converse float for Feb 8
I can remember fishing in February maybe 4-5 times in 42 years. What made this day different was not the lack of salmon and LT bites for 4 hours...but the sunny / 43F / calm conditions which made it feel like in the 50's out there. Typically south wind blows this time of year when the mercury hits 40F or more. 12 days since my last launch on Jan. 27th and my 11th trip for the new year thanks to Randy... The beat goes on! Water was 35F to 36F and the salmon we had been catching had lock jaw or moved as the screen was pretty typical for February. The weather was great and conditions! Thank Randy!
Sunday and Monday are looking great for a float. Might fish both days!
