Bill is finally out of ICU. He's improving everyday. Will probably be in hospital for 5-6 days more and then on to the Dreaded Rehab. Not ready for visitors yet.

From Meda this morning:

Just when you think everything is going well, we have another setback. Seems the metal staples in his sternum have come loose and the bones have shifted and separated. This means that they will have to go in and re-attach them. This will probably happen next week after they adjust his meds. He's on blood thinners so that has to stop.

He's hanging in there.

You'll get through this Bill, it's just another rocky road with some challenges along the way. Nothing you can't handle. On the other side of that, is a nice boat ramp, and some smooth water full of fish. We'll all see you out there.

Wow, quite the ride. Surgery was the 18th (of last month) with 1 more tweak to go. This small setback was as abrupt as hitting the Ball Grabber suddenly!
