Open launches

Post by will nolan (swilly) »

I have Chris powers from the NY DEC Checking with biologists as far North as the islands doing Creel surveys checking for open water access. Is waiting for them to call me back. Is Chris supposed to be giving me numbers and links Is to track and follow open water launches through the Winter. Does anyone know if pork Douglas is open? I've got the itch. Any information I do obtain I will share on the forum.

Thank you NYDEC. I must have had A 1/2 dozen people working on this for me the last 2 days. The biologists stopped to check launches on their way back South to Warrensburg. We have ice free open water launch at port Douglas. Completely open and ready. Bring sand. We know what I'll be doing.

Any luck getting out? Hoping for a weather window Saturday. Would have gone today but wind would have been rough from Nord.

Fish on!
