Another salmon workshop in the books.

Post by Reelax »

Thanks Ron and all who helped setup tonights salmon workshop. Lots if new faces tonight, great to see everyone. The Vt F&G presentation was very informative. Nice to hear converse will get new docks this year... And we asked if they could be left in year around!!! The Chamberlain release demo was useful, I did pickup a pointer or 2. Your new mercury purrs like a kicker Ron, I bet you can't wait to get it installed.

Sure helps the cabin fever... A night with fellow fisherman, sharing stories and knowledge is what it is all about.

Fish on!

You have my thanks as well. It is a great way to spend and evening. Thanks for bridging the gap between us fisherman and the F&W. Mike did a great job and he was very informative. There seems to more improvement slated to move forward then any time in recent memory.

Bring on the DYP!

Fantastic night tonight! 55 in attendance! We had Ed the Hook come with a fishing friend all the way from Connecticut! We had Mike Wichrowski from the Vt fish n game speak about our access area projects and answer questions. Keith Chamberlain demo his wonderful Chamberlain release. And I had a short demo of my 150 hp 4 stroke Mercury in a tank with the troll control gauge.

We passed out 3 framed brook trout prints from Winter Originals recognizing Wally Andre / Popster / Surprise for outstanding contributions to our sport.

Big thanks goes out to: Kevin / Gerry / David / Andre / Fred / Ken / Bruce / Ken, and others who brought snacks and food way to numerous to mention. And my boss Jim who lent us the space for the 4 th year in a row!

Thanks everyone who came out tonight to make this a big success!

Thanks again Ron and the Vermont Home and Marine staff.
These salmon workshops get better as they age. Well done!
Super to have Mike there from VT Fish and Wildlife, Keith Chamberlain, and the many friends I hadn't seen in a while. Great seeing new faces and enjoying the company.

Now I need to find time to cure this fishing fever!
Catch and serve with lemon.

Thanks to Ron and the crew at Vt. Home & Marine for another great workshop. These events help with the winter doldrums and get us fired up for spring fishing.
For me and my wife Debbie, it was the first chance to see our boat " The Sea Hare " with it's new E-Tec 90 that Ron and the boys had just finished installing. It looks great and we're eager to hit the water with it. I know I showed it to a bunch of the guys last night.
Thanks again everyone, see ya on the water !

Ron:

Ottercreeker (Steve) and I want to thank you for your hospitality and for letting 2 guys from Conn. join in the get together on Friday
night. It was great to have face-to-face conversations with guys we've only "met" on the radio or on this forum. Look forward to many
more talks (hopefully with "fish-on" as part of the exchange). Thanks again, see you on the water.

Sounds like I missed a good time. My daughter came up for the weekend, so Dad wasn't going to miss his baby girl. Hadn't seen her since Christmas. Life can get so darn busy. Not a bad thing, but can be inconvenient at times.

These workshops are getting better every time. Always nice to see old friends and meeting new ones.

The presentations were very interesting and informative.

As usual, great door prizes, great food, great ambiance.

Hats off to Ron and VT Home & Marine.

Thanks Andre, Popster, and Surprise for you tremendous involvement to our beautiful sport.

Now countdown is started till our first tight lines.
