Clear launches?

Post by VTgooseman »

There is a VERY good chance Ill be heading out this weekend if the forecast holds out. Thinking of launching at either the Coast Guard station or the Winooski. How do they look? Thanks

The ice goes out about 80 yards from the beginning of the launch in Burlington, and its still thick with snow on it. I checked the winooski today too, its all locked up as far as i can see. fresh snowmobile tracks going down it too....

its not gonna take much to get the burlington launch open. I would put money on it being open by the end of the weekend mann. The open water is right there, i could hit it with a damn rock!

I was just down at Perkins Pier in Burlington and it is open and it is open right out to the Lake...Coast Guard still has a big slab of ice on it.

Thanks for the updates. I'm going to bag it for this weekend due to gremlins in my wiring on the boat. Lets hope I can get it straightened out this week.
