sunday stroll

Post by steel'n silver »

worked about 17 miles of water Sunday and think we tried every trick we had in the box came up with a hefty white perch a small skinny slimmer and a small (20") but hardy steelhead. fleas were manageable seaweed was trying my patience at certain points but it was quiet and relaxing day big boat ride...

Seems many days are like that this time of year... but you never know when a pig will wanna play.

Thanks for the report.

Same here, four hours Sunday morning for some white and yellow perch. Screen was full of bait and fish, just not hungry I guess.

Same here. I was really excited to see lots of bait 60- 100 ft deep where I first set up at the green buoy outside of the mouth of the Otter Creek. However, just battled weeds all morning long and caught a one good sized yellow perch. In the afternoon, decided to switch to bass fishing for some fun.

I imagine they are. I switched to 40 lb mono so I have not seen any.

Fleas still around Split Rock north to Sloop Island and Willsboro Bay/Point area. Using 40lb test kept them off lines but they collected on my braided downrigger line.
