Video Fishing Report From 5/8/21
Well our trip was kind of a bust fishing wise, we didn't catch much. Barely anything to report really. But, what we did do that day was shoot a bunch of video that Brody edited and put up on Youtube. There were a couple of fish caught at least.
Here it is if anybody wants to check it out.

Great job on the video Brody... it is great to watch the boys run the deck like the pair of seasoned trollers they are....
Really enjoyed the video report, well worth the ten minutes... you should start a fishing show on the side...
Fish on!

That was a great job putting together that video. I need to talk to Brody about a few How to's!

Yup, nice video guys! It is nice to see some young fishermen so comfortable with the fishing gear and the boat at such a young age. You have no handicap in the DYP!!

Thanks guys.
Lots of fun to be had out there even if you're not reeling in fish every few minutes. Lots to learn too.
I really try to have the boys doing as much as possible out there. Loading the gear, food, cooking the food, launching and retrieving the boat, piloting the boat, running the riggers, tying knots, making fishing decisions, all of it. You guys can do all of that with your eyes closed, but, it's quite a bit for an elementary school kid and an 8th grader. That's part of the fun for me, watching these guys get good at what theyre doing while messing around out on the water. It might serve them well some day.
I think this weekend we might be hooking on to Strike Three to see what's going on in the warm water world, I'm not sure. I'll ask the crew, see what they want to do.

I love it ! reminds me of when I was a kid and my little brother and I would make movies w/ our grandmothers camcorder, only this is way more well-produced ! The starting sequence getting prepped at home is great, makes it feel like the boys are on a real mission, which they are !
I do not exaggerate when I talk about fishing - I underestimate, like I say "just one more cast honey, then I'll come home" !
Keep Calm and... Fish On !
