Port Henry / Bulwagga bay

Post by Heartbeat »

I went to Port Henry today. Launch is ice free and no docks.
Bulwagga is open. About 30’ of ice blown up on the west shore.
No ice as far as you can see from the top of the bridge.

I did not go fishing. I am going tomorrow. There were no boats out there today.
A little rough. I would say 3 to 4 footers.

Tomorrow isn't suppose to be better. Wind out of the north. Good luck and have fun if you get out!

On Sunday afternoon Traci and i trolled from the Bridge out toward the green can and down to the camps in Bulwagga bay and back up along the RR tracks with only one release on a Fishy 1 set at 10 feet on a rigger. We came up the lake from our camp at Lampham bay and on the way up we watched 100's of fish ducks that had eaten so many fish they could not fly. It was funny seeing them trying. Sorry for not having a more exciting report but i bet we will hear better reports soon from the bay.

That's funny about the ducks, I'd never heard of that. It's too bad the bay wasn't full of muskies, they would have eaten those ducks!
