Congratulations Todd. This was my first shootout event and had a great time fishing and meeting new people. I had heard before that the food was good and we were not disappointed. I would like to thank those responsible for the organization of this event. I am looking forward to next years shootout.
As for me, my season is done and would like to wish all of you a safe and pleasant winter.

Congrats to Todd. And thanks to all who organized the event. It was fun as usual.

A trailer issue left me playing around under the boat at 5:30am in a Cumbies parking lot, and got us on the water an hour later than planned, but it was a nice day on the water. Looking forward to the DYP already!

Congrats to the winners and those that placed. We had a slow day, 1 small salmon and a few small lakers, but it was a fun day on the water.. Brought my friend out and his 2 sons, they were troopers on a cool early start to the day, and stuck it out until the weigh-in.

Todd:
Congratulations! One beautiful looking fish. Contest winner is always luck. But the number of times you win or place has nothing to do with luck. With skill and knowledge, the number of opportunities for luck to land on your shoulders increases exponentially. Great job!

Congratulations to all participants. / Jim

Had a great day at the shootout. It was nice to meet many of the forum members, and the food wasn’t bad either. Thanks to all who put this great event together. As for the fishing my partner Bearcat and I had a slow day with two salmon and one laker however at the last thirty minutes we’re able to boat the second place salmon, pure luck. This was my first shoot out but won’t be my last. Thanks again for a fun event.

Hey Gang

It's fortunate that we had the Shootout & Barbecue last weekend but with the weather change it's officially Frostbite Season.

Today we moved our house contents from the shipping container back into home and are closing camp in Lincoln Monday to move back home.

Gott'a get settled back into home and look to fish on days that end in Y after Thanksgiving.

HAPPY VETERANS DAY

Randy

Congrats to You, Crazy Ivan, on your fine Salmon and your win in the Frostbite. I haven’t fished the big lake for a couple of years because my usual partners have pretty much retired from cold weather fishing. However, I’ve recently discovered an equally enthusiastic potential buddy. (I’m looking at you, Stanley.) Can anyone advise me on the availability of launches on the NY side? Are Port Henry, Westport, or Willsboro usable? We hope to get out next week.
Thanks for any information you can offer.
