We can add recipients to the petition as anyone sees fit. So far I have Phil Scott who seems to be the primary lead on this, and Louis porter who seems to be on our side but can’t say so.

Can't count on Louis, I'll try to post his reply to my email later. Seems resigned to the fact and is willing to give up the hatchery for their pet, non game projects.

Well all I can say is I am not very political, but do vote and I will do everything in my power to keep every person who votes for this and especially our 2 faced governor from ever holding another office.

I have signed and personally thank anyone who helps in this cause...

Fish on!

Hatchery Update from LCI Facebook post 11:15 am today:

As of yesterday, the Administration shared with lobbyists that it wants anglers to have the Legislature raise our fishing/hunting license fees. In exchange, the Governor will reluctantly support the fee increase. If the Legislature agrees, they (the Admin) will discuss perhaps keeping the broodstock hatchery at Salisbury open.
What then is the fee increase for if not to invest in the hatchery?
Our water quality and now our fisheries are pawns in a political game.
If this bothers you, please call the State House TODAY before 4 at 802.828.2228, and leave a message for Senator Mazza and Representative Johnson and let them know how you feel. While on the phone, leave a message for Senator Ashe, too. Calls will be needed on Tuesday, as well.
Secretary Moore, the head of the Agency of Natural Resources, the agency responsible for the Fish and Wildlife Department, could fix this if she wanted to. The hatchery is in her budget, and Secretary Moore wields an enormous amount of influence. Her email is: julie.moore@vermont.gov. Drop the Secretary a line with your thoughts.
Thank for you caring about swimmable, drinkable, and fishable waters.
