Had a great day on Champlain and Crazy Ivan spoons treated us right. Little breezy and I got a bit flustered by a couple big cruisers that came entirely too close but still a great day.
Few small salmon and some lakers but the highlight of the day was this 100% pure Champlain Steel. Late morning double fired...3lb salmon released at the transom and this steelie in for a quick snap and back into the drink. They are such beautiful fish and so fun to fight. Surprising water column but water temp doesn't mean anything if they are hungry or enticed by good lure action.
