Received this note from NWS concerning the recent connection problems with the Champlain site.
unfortunately a significant cut in a communications line, I think down on Long Island, where the server that hosts webpages for all NWS offices in the eastern US, has taken us offline.
Here is a backup link:
http://w1.weather.gov/data/BTV/RECBTV
link to VMC SITE
http://www.uvm.edu/vmc/
Select your wx station (Burton, Colchester Reef or Diamond I) from the LIVE VMC DATA drop-down, then view the data either in GRAPH or TABLE form
Not as good as it can be, but better than no data.
Good luck everyone Sat

Re: LAKE WEATHER SITE DOWN
I have been so dependent on the data from both Diamond and Colchester as I look at them all the time.
Is there any back-up link to these sites as well Bill?
Thanks for the back-up for the forecasts!

Thanks Bill. I noticed it yesterday, tried a different computer, even switched from Firefox to IE...nothing worked.

The best lake weather report is simple...... Just call Fat Head he is on location from now until the ice comes.

Everything is back on line.
Thanks Popster! I like the raw data charts and in mph instead of knots.
