Hope you can make both of them again Darien too! I want to hear first hand some of your trib. / lake adventures to NY.

I have already began the process of getting donations for both events a few months early this year and contacting those folks for the third year for our free drawings. As time goes on I will update here ahead of time a running list donator's and topics to be discussed by guest speakers.

If anyone reading this knows any potential sponsors or wants to donate for our free drawing don't be shy and let me know. I want to add first time workshop donators for 2013 as a goal.

Thx for putting this together again. I'm out of town for the later date, but might be able to attend the Jan. Family schedule at night is always tricky though...

I have contacted Finger Lakes Tackle company and he sounds willing to donate some trolling spoons. Not only would he be a new sponsor they are a fairly new company and are located in central N.Y.

Great Darien and thanks for getting Finger Lakes onboard!

Church Tackle is back again (heard today) and so far about 1/2 the sponsor's from last year are signed back up. Good start after one week with 3 months to go.

Exciting update:

I would bet there will be a few people out there to donate some fresh fish for this first workshop demo that are out frostbiting still at this time.

How neat is this idea from Bill? Wonderful idea Bill!

Note from New Haven Bill for a cool demo for Jan. 18th:

Hey Ron,
I had a thought. What do you think about me giving a demo on some simple filleting and easy recipes for our fellow fisherman at the taping session??? It wont take much set up and we could get some fish donated and I am more then willing to donate ingredients for the recipe. We could fit it in the end segment(where I think is the most interesting) when people share their techniques and new products.
What do you think??
Best
Bill

Donation update:

Riversider joined up for the donations for the third year! They donated two steelhead rod + reels last year for Salmon Hole fishing.

We will be making available Green Mtn Coffee and Hot chocolate with a Keurig machine.

I am thinking of keeping a couple of tables with chairs if a few folks still want to tie flies or tape and keeping with that tradition at our workshops.

I had the dates written on my calendar hanging on the refrigerator and the wife just said I guess you can cross those dates off. I said yes I guess I won't be able to make either event. We will be headed south to Florida after the holidays to join other snow birds for the winter.

I just may get some fishing time in on the Gulf with Crazy Ivan's dad to keep myself busy.

I think I will have to pack a box with spoons, hooks and tape. When we have nothing to do, we can make some spoons for testing when we return north to the pond.
