It was pure luck.
I held onto the top spot for three months until one of the best fisherman on the lake whooped me bad. A big congratulations goes out to Captain Paul Dunkling with his monster 17.53 Lake Trout, very nicely done Captain! The point spread between 1st and 2nd is 120 points!
The results are on the LCI website here= https://www.mychamplain.net/2012-ast-results
Top Walleye spot is also a member of the forum here. Congratulations on that great catch as well. Congratulations to all the anglers lucky enough to get into the top spots of the 5 month long derby.
Marknfish was the net man on that fish, we caught a bunch of nice fish that day (Cinco de Mayo). The fish was mean and mad and made some BIG runs, never showed itself until it was at the boat, Thanks for netting it Mark!
And Thanks to Lake Champlain International for putting on the All Season Tournament.
Jim Martino of Tamiron Sporting Goods made the spoon. I had an entry in the All Season last year with a fish that took the same spoon. Thanks Jim...your honeybees never let us down!
