Finally smoked one......

Well after hunting nearly every night so far of the VT archery season I made everything come together. This was my 48th deer seen from a tree stand this season. I have no complaints. This ol gal came out at 43 yards and I double lunged her and nicked the heart. She went 60 yards and piled up. As I was dragging I knew she was heavy but it wasn't til this morning when I knew just how big she really was.



She hit the scales right at 150lbs ALL CLEANED out!!!!!!!

Needless to say this is my heaviest doe ever. And a great start to the 2012 Archery season.

Sweet! I got a 150lb doe last year! It proved to be a lot of meat. The does don't come much bigger...

I wish the state still kept track of trophy does...

Yes, it is a lot of deer. The last few easy winters here in Central VT have made our local heard really come back strong. There are pleanty of deer out there guys you just have to hunt where they are.

Yes, I did look at the teeth and they were very worn. Im not sure just how old she was pretty old.
