C-hawk I will keep you up to date best i can, my friend who lives in Westport had a series of 2 heart attacks over the last 2 months and we haven't been out. I do go up to see him and help around his house. He may be heading south to his family for the winter soon, however he gave me the OK to leave my boat on his property so I will be doing some fall fishing. I may need a partner for the shoot out, my new fish finder was vandalized in my back yard :o so I may not have electronics up to the task. I still have older units but they are "primitive".

Launched out of converse yesterday... Never saw any mud kicked up. At least 18" as long as motor was trimmed, no problem.

Still on the fence about participating this year. Sour taste. Last few years have been fun. If we do, hope the weather is atleast fish able this year.

Man The launch IS getting shallow.. Last Friday I saw Homewrecker 5 beach itself 2x just off the dock... Once in the dark and once after the fishing fest... I never seen such a large boil of brown water behind a boat as that... Nice show Dean... (successfully unbeached solo with no Ill effects)

Reelax doesn't draft much, as I was able to float over 12" of water in same area without beaching....

Hip waders will be suggested on Nov5, although we could do it with just mukboots!

Nice to see you on post Paul.
Hope to see your Face with a "Winning" fish.

I helped my friend pull his heavy 20 ft CC out of Westport the other day and the launch is VERY low, he wanted to get it while he could. Had to get through muck, weeds and I believe he should get his lower unit inspected for a new impeller with the mud he kicked up  Lucky he has an electric winch to pull that beast on the trailer. Needed chest waders to get the boat lined up right and attach the winch cable. He has a 14 ft aluminum but it's not registered, he should try though.... :o
