I would like to find out if it is possible to use the Moor Sub troll without the coated downrigger cable? I had heard that you may not need it if you do not fish below 100ft depth. Anyone with experience with the unit know the answer. Also has anyone used the Torpedo brand downrigger stainless steel cable with the copper core?
Thanks
Bob

Re: Moor Sub Troll 900
I had one of their Kingfisher surface units 20 years ago and really liked it...you can read the darn things on the dash while you are back at the transom working a rigger. After a dozen years or so had to send it back in had it back the same week! Their service is good. Now I am looking for a unit of depth...dont want to drill more holes in the transom..plus Moore is selling them for $399. right now!
