Blood bath at the Bar first day of LOC derby early am report
Lazy C's is out there for the 10 day derby and just spoke with them. They haven't even had to turn the boat around yet on a heading of East. There has been so much action the last 2.5 hours. Biggest King 21 lbs and a mix bag of Coho's and Kings.
Good luck guys as they go for a repeat and a LOC Grand prize in 9 days. See you Sunday afternoon.

Noon Update:
The boys are at 20 salmon and there still biting.
Blue moon (26 foot Starcraft Islander) just did a King "Quad" a few minutes ago. They are at 40 salmon.
Our Pennsylvania guys landed a 24 lb King and sit on top of the leaderboard.
Beyond stupid the King fishing.

4:30 pm update:
The Lazy C team had to finally pack it in. They were close to 40 salmon today and were just plain worn out with sore arms from landing fish to stay out after 4 pm. They will reload tonight and have a big meal and have to feed the Kings leftovers from tonight in the am.
1.5 foot salmon chop today. Perfect!
Hey Jude the PA boat is leading the salmon category at 25 lb. even updated at 3:30 pm on the LOC leader board. Misprint of 24 lbs on the first post.
Our two (contacts) Pennsylvania boats each have 2 fish on the leaderboard "outfitter" "hey jude".

Incredible start to the 10 day derby. Instigator with his boat and my boat are heading out 6 am. Sunday for the week.
Life is good.

This leader board top 5 is crowded with 25 lb - 28 lb fish after the first day of ten. If these fish lived to Labor day we are talking 35-38 lb fish in the Fall Loc. Those are monster Spring fish after one day of the derby. Can't wait to see what the board looks like after this weekend Sunday night.
Mike told me they had two 22 lb KIngs yesterday in that gaggle of salmon they landed yesterday.
I will pass along your best wishes to the boys Scott. Thanks to others for well wishes. It will be hard to keep Reggie under the speed limit for 475 miles towing the instigator on I-90.

CALL FROM DIGITROLL
Ron called me this evening and gave a brief update on the days activities.
He arrived and got out late afternoon as most others were leaving the water, for his shake down trip. When I talked to him they had 4 kings. All a spoon bite.
Others for the day ended.
Mike (lazycs) Ended the day with 20 fish.
One of their friends form Pennsylvania got 19.
Our friend Reggie (instigator) was at 9 last count. He is threating is buy a house over there.
SOunds like the bite in on over there. On another note it sounds like the weather is going to be good for the next week.

Re: Blood bath at the Bar first day of LOC derby early am re
I recieved a couple reports from Ron last night and this morning.
Yesterday was a banner day with everyone catching fish. It is hard to remember the numbers as I was on the road when talking to him. It was in the teens though and everyone was catchin fish.
Reggie caught two landlocked salmon. One 9 lbs and the other 10 lbs.
It was a great bite and it seemed that the #3 Honeybees ruled the day. Thanks to Jim at Tamiron.
This morning as Ron said (for those that have seen Hillbilly fishin) It was hillbilly stupid!!!!!
The bite was crazy early with several doubles and even a quad!!!! At ten they had over 30 fish on with 20 landed. Several were over 20 lbs with one hitting 23lbs. Another excellant day on the water. There was a switch to magnum spoons today and it seemed the fish got a bit larger.
