Spoke with my partner today and I am sorry guys but the "newbie" is going to be the winner although he seems to think his wife has more luck than him. I have a few aces up my sleeves and if nothing else he will get some new tips and tricks to get out there and have fun. I love this tourney for the reason it is, you get to fish with someone you normally don't. To me it's not about the winning or the losing but the comraderie we share as fisherman. So win(as we will) or lose(not) we will all have a great time and that is what matters. I may just have to put the BBQ on the boat and grill some venison during our adventures but then again we will probally be too busy manning the rods. :) Funny the difference a year makes weather wise, from flooding and devastation to warmer waters and lower levels. Let's hope for a great Saturday.....

I would say good luck to everyone, but you already are very lucky just to get a chance to fish with one another. What a great idea my hats off to who ever came up with the idea. I hope when I get the time to participate in this derby its still around.

Wellsley, now if you had submitted your name, ya never know you might have caught a bigger one than me. But Frank thats okay because you know your welcome aboard the Reel Delight at anytime to fish with me.

Now I got to get back out this week and get the skunk out of my boat because my last trip out was not so good.

Walt we're going to have to watch the weather and pick a day when we're both available and just do it. Right now during the week is better than a weekend. My weekends are full. I can usually can get a day off during the week. I've got tomorrow off and I'm getting the boat out for the first time going on down on the Hudson. Good luck with the DYP tourney, it seems like a great bunch of guys & gals here.

Hi All,
Does anyone know Tim Carpenter? He was my draw for the DYP. He has made no attempt to reach me. The phone number provided to the DYP had a bad area code Hawaii) which I tried to no avail. I tried the number with the Vermont area code and apparently reached his home and left a message, but no response to date. Any info as to how to reach him (forum name?) would be appreciated.

Dang Steve...sorry to hear that. Good luck, maybe someone else wants to go if he's a no-show?

I heard from Tim and he is going to fish, just has been very busy. He tells me that everyone elses chances of winning have diminished considerably.
