I spent 1/2 day today in a basement in Waterbury that was completly filled with water from Irene. The entire neighborhood was practically destroyed.
NOT PRETTY.

You're all right about Waterbury. I live in Waterbury Center and lost our dirt road when a waterfall behind our house overflowed. It ran down our road, down the gulley next to our property wipping out our driveway and took our culvert 50' down the road next to our mail box. Had to replace our driveway and parking area and culvert.
But, we were able to get over the ditch with our Bronco on Tuesday and Waterbury was a mess with rugs, plasterboard, etc, and furniture out on the sidewalks. By comparison, out loss was nothing.
A friend is the president of an intl crisis and disaster relief group and they sent a dozen people to Waterbury and another 8 will be coming to help.
Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers,
Michael
