Fairhaven

Post by Shake-n-Bake »

-Jim and I headed out Friday with low expectations for a good bite but knew we would have a good time. On the water at 4 pm, ended up 4 for 5 with fish from 13-27 pounds (1 Coho). The 27 pounder broke another fisherman's line and we ended up with a mag dipsey, spin doctor and fly! A first for me! Normally I'm the one paying tribute to the lake! We put a call out on Channel 72 but nobody claimed the hardware.

-Saturday we hit the lake before sunrise and she was bumpy! Had a 20 pound king on not long after setting up. We ended up 6 for 9 with Kings from 15-20 pounds and one 5 pound Steelhead. One of the misses was on on a dipsey and the fish was pounding the rod!

-We ran a basic 2 rigger/2 dipsey flasher/fly program 2.2 at the ball and that was enough. Riggers down 75-95 ft. Dipseys 175-275. Fished over water 135-165 feet.

Had a great time as usual. May squeeze another trip in next weekend.

Spoke with Ice Dawg Saturday, he was over in Mexico.

Attached are a few photos, my camera date is off. Oops.

Looks like you had a great weekend and nice bites. Coming back with more lures than you started is unusual and a compensation for once. Nice pics and nice filets for the freezer.

Not much traffic in Fairhaven. Probably even fewer this weekend.

Very productive trip. Some nice fish. Great report! Sounds like the fish are still heading East. Should be good this week for the guys out there in the Eastern basin and maybe another good weekend coming up.

How did the fleet do in Mexico?

I have not heard much out of Mexico but Oswego sounds good. I must be getting older because I'm debating whether or not to chance the weather for one last trip Saturday. 1-3 footers with rain projected now, not too bad I guess.
