45.3 gallons of fuel burned for 50 hrs. of engine time for the week with the 2013 Mercury 150 hp 4 stroke. (.9 gallons per hour). Back 11 years ago when we first started going to the Bar we would burn 30 gallons of gas for the same 5 days (.6 gallons per hour) with the old Mercury two stroke classic 115 hp and the 1998 Honda 15 hp 4 stroke kicker. Not a big difference! Apple to apples.
7 years trolling with the main and only engine. Love it!

Re: May 5/6 Bar update
Sounds like a great vacation. Lots of tight lines and big smiles. 6 foot waves? No thanks. I like my supper.

Re: May 5/6 Bar update
Luckily Fred those 2 hours we played in the rough water was the only rough water at noon on Wednesday for the week after a calm morning.
Congrats to Reggie (Instigator) for 15 th place in the money for his fine salmon! The 10 day LOC derby paid 20 places for Salmon / Browns / Lake Trout. Reggie is one heck of a fisherman! Fished with his wife for the 3rd year in a row at the Bar. Great company!
Sidenote:
The bite was the toughest I have seen in 11 years this year especially after the blow Wednesday afternoon that messed up the warm shoreline water for the next few days dropping it to 40 degrees from 46 degrees.
Just looking at the past weekend's Wilson Invitational which is 75 of the best boats on Lake Ontario by invitation was very challenging. Winning boat had 3 salmon. 50 out of the 75 boats were skunked for salmon. That puts it in perspective. Late season due to the cold water and long winter.
We were very happy with our Monday - Friday catch this year. 22 Kings / 5 Coho's / 15 LT / 1 Steel / 1 Brown. 45 hours with the lines down and fished every week day.

Some leftover photos. We visited Mike and the gang at camp 3-4 evenings for some great eating / BBQing / NHL playoffs hockey.
The new camp has air conditioning / Wifi / radiant heat. Huge living room / seperate bedrooms / full kitchen + fridge/freezer. More like a time share condo.
