Comfort Food

Post by homewrecker »

This time of year I love to fill the house with the smell of Beef Short Ribs.
First go to price chopper on Shelburne rd. and see the guys in the butcher shop for some top quality Beef short ribs I would say 2-3 per guest. At home rub generously with fresh fine chopped garlic and let stand for one hr at least more if you like. In a high sided baking pan stand your ribs on end pour in 3/4 of an inch of College Inn Beef Broth, sprinkle one package of Lipton onion soup mix and Montreal Steak seasoning cover with foil and bake at 275-300 for 3 1/2 to 4 hours. remove from oven arrange on a plate next to garlic mashed potatoes and some fresh Brussels sprouts make gravy from broth for potatoes and serve to guests that have been smelling these wonderful ribs cooking and are so hungry they could eat the sofa cushions. Good eating, Dean
