The sea trout were on the bite with bass assassin jerk bait in 8 to 16ft of water about 8 to 14 miles off shore..... Theresa and I enjoyed a quick bite on trout all day, and were able to limit out with 5 each over 15inches by the end of the day... We took off out of Rogers park on the Weekiwachi river...
It is fed by a fresh water spring 7 miles up stream.. A very beautiful river!

Other than trout, we caught shallow water grouper, grunts, sea bass, and even a cat fish! I did have a nice mackrel on, but he bit me off after a quick run.... By 2 pm, it started blowing, and we headed back in 4 ft chop... Got pretty wet in the 22ft proline.. But it was fun... Nice to have a full live well at the dock..
Over all we had a great time and I would recommend Capt Steve to anyone who wants a good trip in the gulf!
