NYSDEC salmon info- Willsboro Bay

Some possible good information?
My wife’s niece was here last week boating with friends. She had a chance to speak with a DEC official of some type at Willsboro boat launch.
He told her salmon were in the middle of bay between Indian Bay Marina and the RR trestle on west side of bay.
I plan on giving it a go tomorrow. Though tomorrow is north wind which a local guide told me pushes salmon out of bay.
