Father's day lci 21

Post by toomer2000 »

Anyone looking for a partner near Rouses point? Haven't gone since my lifetime fishing partner (grandfather) moved on to a better place. Will pay for expenses just want to honor him and do it again. I know it's a longshot but I've won the coolwater team division before. I finally got the time off from work and i'm just itching to do it one more time!

I tried to pm you as you are the 1st to answer and on top of it wish me luck.

First off thank you! The 1st person to answer me, id like to believe the rest are still out chasing what we love lol. I hope you are doing well.

The last real time I went fishing was with my grandfather. His favorite fish was muskies. He landed 2 and I missed the 3rd that day.(in a part of champlain) Lol he was mad I gave him the first two.

I've read a bit about your story and saw your contributions here. I wish you nothing but the best and thank you for your posts. My grandfather was stubborn, strong and beat the (IT) twice. Then it came back again. The story above was two weeks before he passed. I am so happy to have those moments with him as he would always pass fish onto others.

I'm sorry and feel bad sending this but for some reason I feel compelled to do so.

I don't know your whole story but just wanted to send well wishes and the best of luck. He lived alot longer than he was told and most importantly how he wanted. That fishing trip wasn't possible according to the Dr's. We did it.

P.s His last night he took my grandmother to the casino because thats what he wanted to do. He drove my grandmother to the casino and back as she didn't drive and had a great time. The car wasn't parked perfect when i got there the next morning, then it hit me.

Tight lines, hook em up! Thank you!

thank you so much for those kind words. i like your grandfather is a fighter battling this cancer 3 and half years. i have 58 radiiation treaments that worked then they found cancer on my spine attached to the thyroid, then had chemo for 16 months not working. so last week i started a new treatment called keytruda. as of today i have had no side affects which i had for chemo. my oncolgist and i think this is going to work and stop the spread. my cancer is uncureable but can be contained. enough about me.
i am hoping you find someone to fish with in the lci. i know some fisherman up that way that might be interested,
good luck and keep me posted.

Funny part is I can tell you got the RiverRat going. Your style fishin is his also.... If he were not part of our “Caos” crew/team I am sure he would have jumped aboard with ya.

Welcome aboard!
