Homewrecker hosted Tunamas, Riverrat and I for the Rotary derby this year. 26 hrs of trolling and many stories and laughs were had this year. Many notable fish and adventures but nothing to bring to scales.
Day one we launched from Arnold’s bay and finished after 12+hrs of trolling with 27 cold water fish on the counter, just a Brown short of a grand slam. It started out very foggy
And we could not see till we
Trolled out of the fog bank crossing north thru Westport bay...

Day 2 we launched from Converse and Scott landed a beautiful Steelhead on a purple and black Honey bee Mp6. Counter ended up at 24 on day 2 and we got chased off the lake by a thunder head:(
Video of last 2.5 min of fight with Scott’s Steelhead...

Day 3 we launched at Appleisland and worked hard to get the counter to 8, including a few warm water fish with a notable pike coming off a long line board on a walleye set...
Thanks for the great time guys with 60 fish landed, this weekend sure scratched the itch to feel the pull....
Sounds like some forum members have landed on the leader board.. Congrats to all and hope your fish hold up!!!
One thing I am certain of is this crew was the most experienced and hardworking lot I have ever fished a derby with. They fished to the end and beyond the final bell just cause that is how they roll. Thanks for the hard fished weekend Dean, Scott and Andy..
Fish on!

Had a blast With the usual suspects aboard, face is sore from laughter thanks to a hard working crew three days on the boat with a bad back was a breeze. Fish on!
Re: Rotary derby Homewrecker report..
Sounds like a good one for you. Weather wasnt too bad and fish were around and pretty cooperative! The Sea Runner Crew of Dave Fondry and his son Patrick (fished Sat and Sun) and myself (Fishdawg) boated 23 salmon and lost a good number more (a couple big ones) enjoyed the derby. Lots of time on the water running some nice equipment on Captain Dave’s boat. And of course....always wondering what the guys on the Homewrecker were doing for fish, and more importantly what their menu was!! Fish On!

Re: Rotary derby Homewrecker report..
Wanna talk about a gosh darn good lamb chop! Holy Marion Josephine Deano were they good, habanero sumthin sumthin Lime with cukes to look at and delicious shrimp on stick...yessah! What a meal. A deer ran thru the fog and I snagged a few steaks off it, not sure if we cooked em but they disappeared! 100% most excellent 3 day pound fishing with the "larger" part of Team TBM! Thanks a ton guys. Matt (Reelax) and his wife T's hospitality, unparalleled. Fishing with Scott (Tunamas) for the first time, felt like the 100th and what an even keeled great all round sportsman. Deano (Homewrecker 🖐) my gut hurts from laughing and my back from carrying all the spoons n fish home! Thanks for letting the left handed walleye guy on your boat again! And thanks again Matty for getting me on the team short noticed and the great times, on and off the lake. See you soon . ( FYI, John is a lefty)

I do not exaggerate when I talk about fishing - I underestimate, like I say "just one more cast honey, then I'll come home" !
Keep Calm and... Fish On !
