I think it may be the 1st time I have ever seen more than 25 boats fishing in April... Sunday was was beautiful and we couldn’t help but join the fleet for a few spins... launched at 630 and pulled out at 1:30. Crew consisted of 1st timer on Reeelax....Jason and!Tunamas, who has made a few trips of late. (Seems a big fish always visits when he is aboard). We were lucky to get Jason his personal best salmon and also 1st time ever getting 2 pickerels in a row...
Menu consisted of some hot pretzels, followed by some shish-kabobs, finished with coconut shrimp..
1 min raw video of Jason’s fish.

Thanks for the fun time guys..

Love any Personal Best's! I watched the video, that was a violent fight. The Rod was Dancin'. You sure do know how to find 'em. Awesome post!

very nice salmon, loved the video !
I do not exaggerate when I talk about fishing - I underestimate, like I say "just one more cast honey, then I'll come home" !

Nice video of the catch. Congrats Jason on his PB. As always an appetizing lunch.

Re: Wow what a fleet
So at least my ass made the video and I stuck the net job. "Mark my word," NOT a steelhead! Jason's fish was long, thick through the top but skinny beneath. It could have carried another 2 or 3 pounds easily. Even after a long ride in the livewell, it was angry and strong at the end of the day! It had a small lamprey attached, which we dispatched headless. Always a blessing to run deck when it includes hot meals! My off-shore bag always carries wasabi and soy. I'm going to add some dry rub mix to my Champlain bag! That and wasabi almonds. Two pickerel (and nice ones!), and I think I've only seen 3 in 20 years. Who knew salmon would be in the frog water? Another great day on REELAX! Thanks Matt!!
