Ice pack looked the same (photo above) as of 4 pm yesterday. Ice looked pretty thick (guessing 5-6") and out 1000 feet. 5F low for Tuesday. No snow in the forecast!

This photo was taken yesterday afternoon at the Arnold Bay launch texted to me. Ice thickness and color looked the same Saturday afternoon in front of the Converse ramp when I visited at 4 pm. Maybe a few more weeks around mid March?

Thanks Ben! I took my first tour an hour ago up to Van Tines and 90% of the ramp was ice free showing bare concrete but the last 5 feet was very thick ice and I would hate to drop a trailer off that cliff of thick ice trying to get to the water. Nice to get out for a ride this am. Getting closer.

Got to pull the boat out Sunday and hand wash the salt and road grime off so I can see the paint again... woulda been more fun to wash her in the lake, but you can’t have it all...

Hard south wind tomorrow should take care of the rest of it. Chiseled a few holes in the ice, only about 3”.

Just saw a picture of converse launch (no ice) and the comment was (it is ready).

I’d love to troll that ice edge to the south!
