I've been out a fair amount this year and every trip has been all lake trout. Today I headed south and broke the streak with a few salmon.
Two riggers (i was solo) with sliders down 25 and 40 all day over 60+ FOW. All the salmon (3) came on a large PPE. I lost several fish in the water, one jumper spit the hook midair. 55° water was at about 40'.
All fish that actually made it to the boat were 4-5# footballs. Great to see a couple of these fish again. Back out tomorrow.
