Great first day

Post by Almostthere »

First time poster here. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone whi helped me without knowing. I bought a boat in February and have been reading the forums since. Today was my first ever trip to champlain. From what ive learned on here from everyone i was able to go 5 for 5 on lakers today. Put in at peru boat launch and motored over to Vermont side. Picked them all up in 8ft of water. Also only lure they wanted was my hot pink trout yozuri. Even had same lure half inch smaller but the bigger lure kept firing. Anyways thanks again im really hooked now. Just need some salmon next time.

5 lakers on your 1st trip is impressive - hope the good luck keeps up !
I do not exaggerate when I talk about fishing - I underestimate, like I say "just one more cast honey, then I'll come home" !
Keep Calm and... Fish On !

Havnt named the boat yet. I have a tracker targa 18. I Definitely would not have caught anything without the help of everyone on here.

Went out again today for my second trip. Hot pink trout yozuri was the ticket again. 12 lakers lost 4. Two of them broke me so i think they were good fish. No salmon tho Mayb one of them that broke? All in all great day. Love this lake!
