Converse mid day romp

Post by Reelax »

Hit converse around 9am doing an “Instagator” start...water temp was 39 deg and salmon were biting when you located water above 41... we started in Whalons and ended in town farm. Waves were 2ft in spots where fish were active so we worked for em.... salmon topped out today at 23”, and had many lamprey on them.....

All in all good day, good to see Cardinal out... only saw one other boat looking for bait, not fishing... :?

Here is a pic of the shallow program we sometimes run... :o

I won’t tell you where but the “tunnel of love” produced 3:salmon today... and it’s on the track.... :x

Sticks got salmon and spoons got Lakers today.... we fished mostly sticks:) :geek:

Fish on!

Awesome to see some fish being caught north, converse is where I usually launch. I’ll be excited to launch with a dock again!

As always, your report is very instructive. Thank you.

I'm starting to accept the fact that I'll never have a grill. I did bring a leftover pork chop, but it didn't help me catch fish.

My fishing drought induced grill was just shipped from Texas today. Who knows how long it will take to get here. I'm thinking our first cookout on the water might be steak tips and horseradish sauce. Liam's salmon was tonight's dinner, really good. Fed 7 people, and there's leftovers.
