Summer fishing
Despite the warm weatherthe last few days the salmon and brown trout bite has been good. Nice far healthy fish. Some fish still high near the surface but most of ours have been in the 25-35’ range. After doing a lot of reading on the water fleas... I wound up splicing on 30lb red Cajun line with a 6-8’ leader of 8lb test. Running tight to the ball does not seem to bother the fish at all.... and best yet only traces of water fleas. Yellow orange and green colors have been producing good and 2-2.5 speed has been the ticket so far...
