Outside Mallets Bay

Post by striper192001 »

Can someone help me with any productive areas for trolling for salmon just outside Mallets Bay? I have fished out of Converse so are familiar down that way. Just looking for any spots closer to home.
Appreciate the help !

The northern end of the lake is hit or miss for salmon. Inland sea can have its days around savage this time of year. Otherwise its all about time, they have a lot more space to spread out in that area than they do by converse, and they love to move.

The salmon have been biting good at the Cowbanks this week 25-35’ down though a friend of mine said this afternoon he did better 40-50’ down over 100’ of water closer to the island. It’s warming up in the inland sea so if you work it soon you should get some salmon. Out by stave island is really good during the summer months as well for salmon, Lakers and steelhead. I usually troll between there and Sunset island. I usually get them down 50-65’ this time of year out there.
