Saturday Jun 1, after an approximate 2 hr drive, we launched at the Peru boat ramp around 08:30.
It was a bit tricky as there was no dock installed. We set lines at 10’, 25’, 35’ and 65’, and heading south from Valcour Island. Surprisingly in about 100 FOW the line at 10' on the planer board fires ferociously, the fish takes the planer board under water for about 3-4 minutes. When we get the fish in the boat it is a 7lb laker. A healthy looking fish with some old scars (4) from lampreys. A little later the line a 25’ fires and a 4 lb laker is in the boat.
Around 11:30 it went quiet and we headed south to the four brother islands, but to no avail. We then trolled north from the top of Willsboro Bay and couldn’t find a bite.
Close to 14:30 PM we went to back to the mouth of the Ausable River and headed north towards Valcour Island. My wife picks her spoon color and I set it up on the line at 65’ feet. It didn’t take long and it fires, the fish put up a really good fight an we netted a 6lb laker into the boat. A gorgeous fish with no lamprey marks. We continued to troll till about 16:00 and then made our way back to the ramp.
Plenty of bait fish on the sonar north of Willsboro bay and most marks on the sonar we saw were between 40 and 100 FOW. Shallow lines set back around 100’. We released all our fish, pics to follow and lures of the day.

Re: South of Valcour Island
Appreciate the feedback !! In regards to no dock, for us Canadians from Quebec, we rejoice at the number of FREE boat ramps on Lake Champlain, even if the dock is not installed yet.
Just to share a little about ramps in Quebec:
$50 dollars a day to launch and park,
or
NO daily FEE only a membership FEE of $300 to $500 a season.
