Reelax Rotary report... live updates...

Post by Reelax »

We launched at 5am from Port Henry with a full crew after a 75 mile ride south. The waves were pushing 4ft and for the 1st 3 hrs trolling north meant running the bilge to pump out the breakers that came over the windshield toooooooo any times... never seen green water all the way up the windshield to the top till this morning!!! Wow

Started with a fat laker off a slide diver out 60 over 35 fow...

Next we found a pod of larger class salmon we chased till now... we have a couple fish we are going to weigh in in the box already. Rest of day will be looking for upgrades.

So far sausage gravy and mike shake crazy Ivan has been best followed by a rainbow speady shiner

More to come. I will keep posting as action happens...

Well that was a epic day.... we have some very tired fisherman... rods were set at 530am and pulled at 3pm... the fish in the live well we’re loosing weight and we needed to get them to the scales.... long story short we weighed these fish in... and we are 4th in salmon at this point....

No idea where team Reelax is in the standings but we got a good laker and a small salmon so far entered and we will add as we go...

We will be back at it in the morning... with a slightly diminished energy but with as much enthusiasm as ever!!! Great to fish beside crazy Ivan and talk to popster on Pointer... hope all had fun and were safe... if I get energy later.. maybe I’ll post the video of marks 32” laker coming to the net...

Fish on!

Good job everyone! Nice to see you on here again Jeremy! Inland sea holds the leader? My boat is high and dry this weekend, having a new custom canvass installed. One more week, and two straight weeks of fishing!

Raz and I launched at Port Henry again and joined the fleet. Our partners had other commitments so we would only be able to run 4 rods all day.. :(

After finding a slower bite in yesterday’s hot spot, we
Picked and ran north around 9am. There we found the bite we were looking for... we had 3 of the 4 rods fire on the 2nd pass and it was on!

About mid day Raz had a fight with a........7+ lb salmon who spit the hook at the net after we both got a good look at what it will take to win this thing...!

Seemed today the salmon were short striking. Our landing rate was only around 50% today and we had hooks pull free on a few fish in sight.

Great to see Crazy Ivan on his home water and also Plenty of Fish up for a visit joining the fleet again today... once we found our spot we weren’t surprised to see hairbone harry already pulling em up from the depths
there , hope you guys had a Good time...

Nothing big enough to weigh today... on the long ride
Home we have decided to fish new water in day 3, we will be 50 miles north to
Find the winner..

Good luck all.

Here is a short video to give you an idea how nautical it was Friday morning. We landed this 8lb laker but it was a rodeo ride for about 4 hrs..

https://youtu.be/DqjeIWnmCI4

Back at it today before the front hits sometimes the bite is great!

We will see
