Caught in Hawkins Bay, 5/5/2019 10am. 120' back off of planer board. Water temp 42 degrees, 1.8mph trolling speed.

Liam is excited to add this as his second Youth Master Angler entry this year.

Got a hit on a purple and silver jointed rapala on 1.5 colors of lead, 50' flouro leader, but lost it. Also hooked a big alewife in the back somehow on the hoochie rig pictured above between Diamond Island and New york.

Haha, Liam says we kinda did fish the DYP, we just didn't know it. We posted a fishing report under Bulwagga Debris" when one of the guys said he might try fishing the mouth of the lamoille the day after we did.

Anyway, we launched and fished where all of those guys were all day, we just didn't know it. Long story short, we didn't catch anything all morning, haha.

Launched at Converse Monday afternoon and headed for Town Farm. Water there 56-59 degrees with warmest water near outlet of Lewis Creek and Little Otter. One salmon about 19" but strong and muscular. Hit a Crazy Ivan spoon (Sausage Gravy Milkshake) on a rigger 15' down and 85' back. No other hits.

Marked nothing in shallow water. Marked bait and fish in deep water (60') off mouth of Kingsland Bay.

Caught off of Thompsons Point, 5/12/2019 10am. 2.5 colors of Lead, 50' leader, mostly 20lb Flouro, with 6' of 8lb flouro in front of Jointed purple challenger about 4". Water temp 43 degrees, 1.9mph trolling speed.

Also had out Dodger and hoochie rigs like last week out, on downrigger and planer board, and leadcore, but no hits. Also dragged some small crazy Ivan spoons, no hits. Also a couple of other similar stick baits other colors, no hits. This purple challenger has had more hits than anything else this year, but the dodger hoochie or fly setups a close second.

Liam's third Youth Master Angler entry this year.

24" Lake Trout, 5 lbs 14 oz, Released.

Don't know why the picture quality was low, but there it is. One of his older brothers Brody, is on the left, and has been piloting our boat this year, since he has turned 12, and no longer has the 6hp restriction on his boaters safety certification.

We probably saw a few of you guys out there today, or yesterday, but, we don't know who's who. Our Boat is kind of conspicuous though, so maybe you saw us, haha.
