Bulwaga debris
Any reports on the debris in Bulwaga? Last week it was pretty bad, was wondering if it has cleared any.

Were you able to get to the Inland Sea from there or did you fish elsewhere?

Re: Bulwaga debris
Hey guys, been reading a lot on here for a while, finally joined, first post.
We fished the mouth of the Lamoille today, nothing. Also, sandbar swamp, and from guilmette launch north along the shoreline up to keeler bay also nothing.
Mouth of the Lamoille:
4 longlines off of planer boards 100' and 60' back, 2 youzuri pin minnows with a splitshot, 2 dodgers and flys.
2 longlines off the back of the boat, 1 jointed rapala with a split shot, and 1 dodger and hoochie.
Sandbar Swamp:
Same as above
Shoreline up to keeler bay:
2 longlines of planer boards, 1 dodger and fly, 1 stickbait with splitshot,
2 downriggers 6-8' down same stickbait, dodger and fly
2 leadcore 1 to 1and a half colors off the back jointed rapala puple and silver, 1 dodger and fly.
1.8 - 2.0 mph water temp ranged from 40 to 42 degrees, a degree or two warmer by the swamp and the mouth of the lamoille.
We fished from about 7am to 11:15
I'm 6'4, and standing on our pontoon I had to duck a little, but you can fit under the causeway in that boat. So, that gives you about 7'6" to close to 8' from the bottom of the bridge to the water.
Me and my boys really appreciate these reports, and have caught us a couple fish already this year. I know what I posted up here is kind of like giving people the "wrong answer", but, maybe it's still information people can use.

There are no bad reports except the ones that anglers won't share! You did a great job and hopefully have provided somewhat of a template for other anglers, especially less experienced ones, as sharing will help everyone! From the looks of your program, I'd say you have already come a long way.Detritus wrote:Me and my boys really appreciate these reports, and have caught us a couple fish already this year. You would be absolutely amazed how much this forum has improved members skills including mine, though from a distance, by people sharing (not locations) but tactics, lures, colors, methods, etc.
Fishy1 might be the best example of someone who shares just about everything and yet still manages to continue to catch a lot of fish using the information that he shares!!!
