It was one of those Bass Pro XTS lures that look like pin minnows but are like $3.29 a piece... get what you pay for I guess with that. We caught the fish so that was good.

12-15 boats in that little area, that's a lot.
Especially if everyone is running multiple boards - takes up a lot more water.

Fishy 1. I have a black and silver Alumacraft. I was wondering if I saw you on Saturday in Norm's Bait shop. I did see someone fishing from the point that all the seagulls and cormorants frequent. Was that you?

No dead alewives yesterday. Water temp was 46 so not warm enough yet for them to die in large numbers.

Did the trip this pm and fished until 6:30. Sausage gravy 39 and 49 back on rigger was the key. Between 9 and 14 ft down. Ended the pm with 3 salmons 18 in. and one brown 15 in.

Fish where bitting steady until that north wind kicked in.

Spent 4 hours clearing lines today with little action. Tons of debris in the bay. Not much action in the bay, two others boated one or two cookie cutters. We did manage to land a nice 6+ lb small mouth on a stick ran off the board.

I too arrived at Port Henry this am. I assisted a crew cast off then managed to get my vessel in since I was solo today. Got around the bend and picked one up on a diver with a honeybee mp6 wonder bread . Reset and got a second all going south with the wind. Turned around and went into the wind. Nothing. The reversed and got a third .. all on same diver and mp6. Then the sun appeared. Made the day nice but it shut down the bite. Fished til 1pm then headed out. Hope to be back tomorrow.

DrCaddis:

Thanks for sharing along with the detail.I wonder if you had gone little faster into the wind if it may have compensated with improved lure action??
