Nothing to report yet
Re: Nothing to report yet
The itch has fully set in! Just used the loader to get the boat out of it’s winter home. We have a LOT of snow! Glad it’s out!

Not yet that I know of. I’m super hopeful that the winooski launch at Colchester pt will open by the end of the week. If it happens it will be Thursday, 50 and windy should get us some wave action with thst much open water.

Re: Nothing to report yet
So I was at my car mechanics today as he put a new tire on my boat trailer spare and I was mentioning how tough it is to fish with 4 feet of snow in the yard and all the lakes still frozen. He said he figured that's why I was getting the tire replaced. I must have looked confused. He said, "yeah, now you can drive your boat out onto the lake on the trailer, drill a few holes in the ice and then climb into the boat and fish through the holes." I laughed, and said that since I preferred casting I'd need to drill some holes farther away from the boat too. Trolling would be even more challenging. I lamented that I'll ever know since I don't own an ice auger. That's when another friend who had walked in and overheard our conversation said I might just try spinning the outboard around before trimming it down so that it drills the holes for me. Ha! ...I'll let you all know how it goes.

Re: Nothing to report yet
Here are today’s pics of sat and bridge area. I am thinking the 30mph south this evening will make big changes... thanks for the pics Jeff!!
My concern is the ice flows and lack of launches to have a plan b if we’d get a flow locking us out of our spot. Also those flows will crush a boat faster than the titanic. Fish will be caught by the crew this weekend but they may be haddock only...

LOL. That video got me laughing despite the ice keeping my boat out of the water.
