Fishville Dec 5

Post by Surprise »

Fished today with Carl "Da Boat" and my College Roomate Steve Elmer.

Got a Randy Start in today about 10 and set up with the lures we ended with the other day....Rainbow Speedy shiners. Riggers down 30 & 40 with sliders and two purple/ black minidiscs out 90.

Fat Head Jeremy and Dave Adams DA Commited had done well since daylite, Capt. Thorny was a surprise with a charter and Matt Trombly as crew. Great to talk to both crews. Chessie Man was in the turn as well as anther boat that has been involved in the fun.

We started a slow pick with about 1/2 dropped coming to the boat. Boat was on autopilot most of the time and ice formed on anything wet. The Mr.Buddy with the tail curtain down was Most welcome.

Chessieman you are a more hardy soul than me I say.

Today Lunch was Chunky Tomato soup with Roast Fennel and Sausage with Garlic Sun Dried Tomato
Topped with Fresh Grated Parmesan and Fresh Ground Black Pepper. Kathy's hot Crescent Butter rolls, Naval Oranges and Black Tea.......I need a recliner and a nap.

We ended a Great day in the teens landed and numbers lost. killed 3 salmon and 3 browns

I'm not hardier, just too lazy to put up the top and side curtains - I did have 3 layers under my ice bibs and mittens on

Always fun to share the lake with the Hearty Souls of the Frostbite Fleet! Thanks for some great pics Randy! By the way,I never left the back of the the boat. I never wore gloves and I never got cold. I love this time of year!
