Tag your it! Aboard Surprise 11/29/18

Post by digitroll (ron) »

Jerry was the featured guest today on Surprise and we decided to let him handle the 70 bites today in our 4 hour window from 9:45 am to 1:25 pm. Finished with 30 fish landed as with free sliders you lose about 50% of your hook ups. A nice salmon and a brown for our efforts! Great lunch as Jerry brought turkey sandwiches and Randy provided tomato bisque soup. It probably was the first time in 40 years I just stood in the middle of the back of the boat and just kept cycling rods back into the water for 4 hours straight never sitting down. 1 foot chop and a great bite today! Speedi Shiners pulled 2.7-2.9 mph provided the constant action with assorted colors!

A lot of fun after a 20" snow storm up in the Kingdom. As I said on my Facebook post when others are skiing after a big snow dump it's the best time to go Frostbiting in Nov/December on Champlain!

Water temp was 44 F! Perfect!

Way to go guys, I'm sitting here on my deer stand, wishing I could trade places and probably the 8 pointer will go by while I'm distracted!

Good luck hunting!

Had another good day today landing 27 and another 20 bites missed or lost fish. Same 9:30 am - 1:30 pm window. On my boat with Mike Morin today out of Converse. 6 boats fishing Fishville today and calm water. Everyone was hooking up! Pick any lure and put it out!
