Post by Surprise »

Today's Crew on Surprise was first time Guest Mike Morin and Ron Winter.

Rolled into Arnolds Bay at 9 am with Realax and crew, Fathead Jeremy, Puddle Jumper Pete Ferrone already on post.

Launched in calm water and made the 6 minute run to Fishville. Set up and in 5 minutes had our first take with a chunky brown. Another 10 minutes a nice larger salmon that I dropped at the back. Easy come easy go..... Then we settled in for a long winters nap. Lots of fish but it was a S L O W pick for us.

Compared to the previous outings of non stop action it was hard to return back to a semblance of normal.

Ended 7 for 9 with 3 species.

most fish taken from a mini disc, sliders on rigger and riggers at 30 + 40

Had a Great day sharing laughs together and on the radio with the other crews.

A lunch of Leek & Chicken Sweet Potato Chowder with Kathy's Crescent Rolls and Clementines washed down with Tea. :D

Recipe here: https://www.lakechamplainunited.com/for ... =5&t=12891

A return to Harbor The Dock Doctor's had pulled the dock so we Crashed & Splashed ashore like The Marines.

Great Day Gang thanks for sharing. Off tomorrow and Back out Wednesday with Captain Carl.

I tried out one of my yet unused features of My RayMarine EV-100 autopilot which is a run pattern.

Nice Clover Leaf, sure to be used more especially at Fishville.

Love the photo shop on the first photo....Mikey and I gained 300 lbs on the first shot. :) Must have been the gourmet lunch!

Great time today Randy for my first float on the Surprise vessel today! Great weather and a screen full of bait and fish! It was slow by Fishville standards but a great day to be out with the fleet!

Thanks again!

Wow another great day in the pond... today we had special guest CRAZY IVAN aboard Reelax.... an epic event to remember by the Reelax home crew of DA and RAZ. Todd sure rolled his eyes a few times today, but also got some good laughs in also...

We ended up 24 fish to the boat and maybe and many more lost in the way. The bite wasn’t as good as last week but the bird tornados were forming and when we could slide thru one we would get great action.. here are some pics..

It was first time on the Relax and what a great day, fishing was a bit off for us but still enough action to keep us interested. We were on the hot bite with a special home made spoon by RAZ that was lost by someone else (not naming any names) and the bite was never quite the same after that.
On the other hand all 24 fish boated were an enjoyable teamwork situation with plenty of laughter and comradery. The 24 fish we missed, dropped, beat off with the net or just plain were to much to handle were much MORE enjoyable for the sheer amount of ribbing, joking, pointing fingers and the famous "it wasn't my fault" comments made every failed attempt a classic day in my mind for sure.
Thanks for sharing the fun guys

I am still laughing about the fun we had on the pond yesterday! The lake is alive with some fish and some great frost bite fisherman. It was great fishing through the birds, and seeing the fish chase bait on the surface, AWESOME

Thanks for the laughs, lures, and lunch.

Let this be a purchasing/taping lesson - always make/buy more then 1, cause you hate to loose a hot lure....especially on a......SLIMER

When the new "Diner" series comes out from CI Lures be sure to get a full spread of them
