Hey.... that wasn’t gonna be public.... just to stop the questions... top 3 were lakers, right bottom 5 are salmon and the left bottom 5 were browns... we kept 13 between 3 hungry folks who didn’t have any fillets left in any freezers at home. This fish will be savored every bite. Some will be eaten in Montreal, and some in Vt. The international crew was amazing all day... no idea on the number of releases.... it was well over 75... at the end, the clicker showed at 49 boated, i know we missed some clicks Along the way with all the flurry’s of action.. doubles on one rod, like.....3-4 times. Doubles Tripples and quadruples too many to count. We pulled the lead core on the boards by 9 am and just ran 4 rods cause we were getting tired of reeling in the long lead sets... big water 630am till noon we worked for every fish. With some. 4 footers :o mixed in...After noon was like heaven on water with the bird tornados all over us.. no need for coordinates... get on the lake Pull out your binos and look for the bird tornados... they are all over. We spent the day following 2 flocks of 200-300 birds around :)

Any spoon with a sharp hook would stick em... but for some reason a gold mp6 HoneyBee that Raz...custom taped into a CrazyIvan sausage gravy and milkshake pattern sleighed over 15 browns by it self as a Sliding Cheater on the port rigger set to 41ft. We couldn’t keep it in the water... Raz has a pic of it... this combination of the 2 best spoon companies on the lake seems to be a killer.... of course it’s still on my cheater roll for Monday at 7am:) thanks Raz.

Never seen anything like it. Birds so thick
feeding on bait they are standing on each other while the bottom bird is floating In the lake... wtf? We saw birds taking half gainers off each other to scoop up alewives as the cormorant drive them up from deep water to the flock. The cormorants and gulls were working together. They have figured out how to drive pods of alewives from the deep to the surface for all to gorge on. The tell tale 6 cormorants would pop up 1 min after the bird tornado forms to eat along the gulls... it’s cool they are working as a multi species team!

This is why we had such a good day. The birds let us be part of that action. We could troll right into a bird tornado... they would stay put!

When we would approach a bird tornado we could see brown chasing alewives to the surface and opening thier mouths like whales and scooping em up right in front of the boat... MaJicaL day!!!!!!

Alewives have changed everything for the birds fish and fisherman... but this action is just super cool...

We will be back Monday with Reelax’s home crew (Raz and Da) with Crazy Ivan giving us a guided tour... it will be epic...

If your boat is put away.. get it out.... it’s On!

Some better pics from Raz

The floor Picture was just after the live well was unloaded with 15 cold water fish flopping around we decided to throw 2 really lively salmon back before we kept our 13.

There is a video somewhere with me hiking fish out of the live well like a football center 1 after another... the sound of 15 lakechamplain cold water fish flopping on the deck was precious..

Fish on!

It's been a hell of a run :D

There is Life in the Lake......and their Thanksgiving Food Fest is Right On Time. ;)

And soon the Biggies will be out to Play..

Despite the cool down we have a L O N G way to go!

LOTS OF FUN & Laughs by that Crew

BTW that is a TRUE Frostbite rig Truck with Plow & Boat on trailer. That pic should be posted above in the Best Frostbite Rig.

Found the pic of Forrest plowing Converse December 2011 with his dump truck while the boat and trailer is hooked .

Said that if the right person saw that they would put him in "The Home".

We are sick .....with the Fever!

What a day.... Up 3:30 am , early breakfast, nice plow ride to the launch. Non stop biting, no time for lunch. Countless fish in the boat, slime everywhere. Out of the water as late as possible. Back home passed 9:30 pm. Very memorable day with great friends. Tuesday morning back to work, but taking it SLOOWWW.
Get your boat out and enjoy this frenzy moment while you can. Lots of FISH ON!
