I am relatively new to fishing Lake Champlain and would like to put in at Port Douglas. I would like to know what the fishing has been like in that area or if other places could be suggested. Love salmon and lakers.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Laker fishing is still good, salmon typically have a challenging sept on Lake Champlain. They can be found, but just not as consistently as many other months. Fish lakers right on the bottom, and salmon
suspended around 56-60 deg water. Port Douglas should be as good as anywhere for the fish you are targeting...

Good luck and let us know how you make out...

Thank you very much for his. I appreciate your input and will certainly get back to you.

Tom

I followed your advice and managed to get some nice Lakers in between 75 and 90 feet all by trolling.

All but 1 were caught on Fat Ivans and the other on Spin and glow.

It made for a great few hours and want to thank you again for your help.

Cheers....Tom
