Winter Dates?

Post by TUnamas »

I'm jumping the gun, and I might have missed it, but Winter gathering dates? Between many other commitments, I might be taking a tuna/yellowtail/wsb trip to San Diego and want to make sure the dates are clear. Of course, please, let me know if I can offer any assistance in putting Winter gatherings together!

Ken - Hope you did well today. It pained me to be headed into BTV as the Black Ghost was being pulled south on 7 this morning!

Yes, it's good to be back. It has been a year since being on the water. Sherry and I built a house and I had no time for any other kind of fun. It's amazing what goes into building a house! Who would have thought? But it was worth it. No longer a suburbanite. I'm living like a true Vermonter.

And Scott - I'm heading to San Diego at the end of January on the way to Cabo San Lucas. I was disappointed to hear that its the wrong time of year for Rooster on the Fly from the beaches. I've only got one free day in Cabo and I wasn't convinced it would be worth a guided trip by boat for these fishes.

Ken - Pez Gallo! A true street fighter, especially on fly and ESPECIALLY from the beach. It's been several years since I've fished Cabo, but Roosters were usually best for me May, June and July. End of January? Striped Marlin and wahoo, but you'll need a boat!

Man you guys got my mouth watering. I’m already booked for the 2019 white marlin open out of Ocean City... last year was too fun not to make a tradition.

I think you will hear an update within a few weeks as to the fate of our seminars. It is being discussed behind the scenes. Very tentative as to whether this will/can continue in its current form.

Fish on!

Happy new year.
