More Rain...

Post by Salmoneye »

Massive line just moved through South of Rutland...

Not good...

Here we have had almost two inches today...
Not hurting us, but all running off as the ground
is saturated...

Reports of tornadoes in Upstate New York from this system...

Not supposed to clear us till Tuesday AM?

Hang o to your hat...

And your loved ones!
There was a young man from Nantucket...

That seems to of missed us. Most of it stayed south.
Outdoor Labor day celebrations here were threatened but not dampened...
'cept by spilled beer. :P

My wife and I considering taking a day later this week or next to volunteer in the southern part of the state to help in some way with clean up efforts.

Next week works better for me and this week works better for her.

We've got some schedule figuring outing to do but plan on making a day of it here in the very near future.

The devastation around the state is simply unprecidented.

I spent two days this past week volunteering down in Waterbury. Really an eye opener.

Folks were really hurt by Irene. Waterbury was the start and the destruction builds as you move south.

I telephoned my sister who lives in Texas yesterday. They are praying for some rain and that includes a Hurricane. She lives 30 miles from the wild fires and they have not seen a rain drop in months. I wish I could send her some of our weather.

The Lamoille here in town is still raging.
The lake is still climbing...now at 98.48
I'm hopin' the lake will clear up real good for Frostbitin'...
but the rain needs to stop
and the fish will be glad to be out of the heavy currents and hungrier than ever!!!
