Boat name change

Post by tealtumbler »

Is there a protocol for a boat name change. I purchased a rig wih a handle, who's previous owner is now fishing the big pond up above. It's not a bad handle and its descriptive of what I'm doing, and by adding two letters it could be changed easily. Anybody have any thoughts or opinions. I thought it was bad luck to change a boat name.
