Thinking of buying one

Can anyone tell me how a x2 is deployed. I understand the basics. Lets say we re at the point where we are going to lower ball and probe down. This what I assume one would do:
Bring boat up to speed.
Start to lower ball and probe watching temp indication.
When desired temp is reached stop lowering.
Adjust speed so its at desired speed.
Fine tune depth for desired temp.
Be happy wait for strikes.

Does the monitor show declining tems a probe is being lowered?

Guess this was a dumb question, but was looking for comments from user.

You got it. Just that the screen doesn't give an instantaneous read out. It takes a few seconds to react. This time of year I would just drop it to 50 feet, and go from there.
